    CRECHE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH

Children's Church is for all pre-school children and primary school children up to and including Primary 3.

    AIM

To enable parents to enjoy and participate fully in the Church Services in the knowledge that their children are being taught the things of God and cared for in a safe environment.

    ACTIVITIES

There are at present 3 lady crèche helpers and 1 young person each Sunday morning. Any very small children are looked after in the crèche from the start of the service. After the Childrens' Story, the older boys and girls go upstairs where they are seated at tables. The helpers then:
    1. Go back over the main points of the lesson in church, asking questions and encouraging the children to think through what has been taught.
    2. Sing the "theme" chorus from the lesson
    3. Teach the memory verse for that month
    4. Give out the worksheets and help the children to complete these.

Each Sunday evening, the crèche is also available for pre-school and primary school children with one lady helper and one or two young people. There is no organized program - usually just supervised play.

    CHILDREN'S TALK

A weekly children's talk is an integral part of the Sunday morning service. This not only provides Biblical teaching for the children on a regular basis, but also helps them to see that they also have a part in the church and its worship.

    MOTHERS AND TODDLERS

    AIM

To create an interest in spiritual things which would lead to personal salvation.

    ACTIVITIES

Mums and Toddlers meet on Wednesday mornings between 10:30 am and 12:15 p.m. on a 6 weeks basis. As the mums gather they enjoy a chat, while the toddlers and pre-schoolers settle down to play with toys, puzzles and look at books. At 11:15 am mums have tea/coffee and the children enjoy juice and toast. At 11:45 am approx. we provide a varied programme for the mums while the children learn very simple truths through a craft activity. We have close connections with the Limavady Reformed Presbyterian 'Mums and Toddlers' group and at the end of our winter session join together for a special outing.

    BIBLE CLASS

    OUR MISSION

To radically touch the lives of our young people through the consecutive teaching of the Word of God, prayer and fellowship. That each one would experience personal salvation, purpose and fulfilment and be equipped to lead others to Christ through the power of the gospel.

Isaiah 53:13 "And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children."

    BIBLE CLASS ACTIVITIES

The Bible Class is aimed at ministering to young people from fourteen years of age through to late teens. The purpose of which is outlined in our mission statement. We teach that the message of God's Word is the total answer to man's total need. It is the good news of forgiveness, faith, peace, power, purpose and heaven. We aim to make the studies practical and fruitful to the needs of each individual. As well as in-depth Bible Studies, we engage in Bible Quiz contests, syndicate study groups to discuss answers to specific problems, 3 minute talks by youth on specific Bible verses and memorizing of Scripture. A "Crystal Award" with citations will be awarded at year end to focus and encourage learning of God's Word.
